Salzgitter Flachstahl counts on a condition monitoring system (CMS) made by HAINZL, which is used at their continuous pickling line. The key components of the line are monitored by various sensors. Defects on electrical drives and gearboxes can be detected in a very early stage and necessary repair work can be planned more effectively.

Production lines driven by our hydraulic units have been designed for an output of up to 60 t per hour. The lines work with a highly flexible rolling mill using frequency controlled AC drives supplied by our lubrication system. For over a decade, we have been supplying hydraulic and lubrication units to the copper industry and can thus draw on extensive experience in this sector.
These systems are characterised by high energy efficiency and low process costs, and in this context, we will focus in future projects on developing their variable speed drives, particularly in the field of lubrication. With more than 10 systems already installed globally, we are represented at almost every leading manufacturer of copper wire products.
