HAINZL supplies approximately 140 oil cooling systems of various sizes each year for temperature control of extruder screws in plastic recycling processes. These systems are a key component in the temperature management of extruders, which require precise thermal conditions at the end of the recycling process to ensure consistent material quality.
The units are designed for use with heat transfer oil and can achieve temperatures of up to +200°C. They provide the necessary media conditioning and ensure that the oil is transferred to the customer’s control system within a stable thermal operating window.
The scope of delivery includes a complete fluid system with stainless steel piping, equipped with a custom-designed shell-and-tube heat exchanger mounted on a stainless steel base frame with a protective enclosure. A supplementary stainless steel expansion tank ensures volume and pressure stability and supports long-term, trouble-free operation.
With their robust design, high temperature resistance, and precise media handling, these oil cooling systems meet the key requirements of modern process technology, particularly in demanding high-temperature recycling processes.
