Ascendor, based in Neufelden (Austria), stands for modern lift solutions “Made in Austria” and is a specialist in the field of platform stair lifts and vertical lifts. The company develops and manufactures customized lift systems for indoor and outdoor use, with a clear focus on quality, individual planning, and design. To optimize the user-friendliness and safety of its products, Ascendor sought a technology partner that could offer more than just standard solutions—a modern, flexibly integrable control solution for its lifts.
The goal was to develop a user-friendly control platform that could be seamlessly integrated into the existing product line. In addition to a modern user interface, other key requirements included voice output and the connection of an LTE module to enable emergency calls to be made directly from the elevator. The new solution was intended to increase ease of use while also fulfilling the requirements for networked communication.
HAINZL worked with Ascendor to develop a customized complete system consisting of hardware and software components. The focus was on a new control application that was specially designed for use in stairlifts.

Close cooperation during the design and development phase resulted in a solution that fully meets the requirements.
The project began with joint concept development. Following the successful implementation of hardware and software development, the transition to series production took place. The production volume currently comprises around 1,200 control boards and 1,200 control units per year. The total project duration was approximately two years.

The decisive factor for the collaboration was HAINZL's ability to develop a customized and technically sophisticated solution that could be optimally integrated into Ascendor's existing system environment. The company's extensive expertise in hardware and software development and its experience from comparable projects were key factors in the success of the project.
