Engineering, manufacturing and delivery of the hydraulic equipment for a 6-billet continuous casting plant
We supply all the recognised OEMs with their furnace hydraulics. Hydraulics for these systems must be specifically designed for flame resistant media. Extensive knowledge and years of experience have gone into designing the proportional valves for electrode control.
The unit consists of a 250 litre stainless steel tank. The motor pump units, filtration and cooling systems, and all measuring devices and valves are mounted onto the tank. All electrical devices (except the two electric motors) are fully wired in an intermediate terminal box. Also included in the delivery is a stainless steel valve cabinet in which the corresponding valve units are mounted.
Customised cooling systems are used for the thermal optimisation of system and process temperatures, in plastics and plastic recycling applications. Depending on use, high quality air coolers or liquid heat exchangers can be employed as cooling elements.
The systems are specially designed and constructed for a wide range of media (oil, heat transfer media) and temperature ranges (up to 200 °C), as well as all functional requirements. Both switched and regulated systems are available for use in managing the temperature.
Production lines driven by our hydraulic units have been designed for an output of up to 60 t per hour. The lines work with a highly flexible rolling mill using frequency controlled AC drives supplied by our lubrication system. For over a decade, we have been supplying hydraulic and lubrication units to the copper industry and can thus draw on extensive experience in this sector.
These systems are characterised by high energy efficiency and low process costs, and in this context, we will focus in future projects on developing their variable speed drives, particularly in the field of lubrication. With more than 10 systems already installed globally, we are represented at almost every leading manufacturer of copper wire products.
