Process optimization project with University of Applied Sciences in Steyr

As part of a company project, students from the Steyr University of Applied Sciences took a close look at HAINZL electronics production.

The four bachelor students of the Smart Production and Management course analyzed the manufacturing process of a Highrunner product and worked out suggestions for improvement. The aim of the project was to optimize the manufacturing process of a touch operating terminal and thereby increase productivity.

Sales engineer for embedded systems and student Michael Stadler is pleased that concrete savings potentials in the assembly process and material flow could be identified through the project. The internal project management was carried out by the head of process technology Markus Mayrhofer, who actively supported the students during the entire project.

A win-win situation for both sides. HAINZL benefits from the theoretical expertise of the students. The University of Applied Sciences can offer practice-relevant research projects to prepare students in the best possible way for the requirements of industry.

We look forward to further successfully implemented projects!
